Dye-sensitized solar cell

Similar to the way that leaves convert sunshine into energy in plants, dye-sensitized solar cells generate electricity from sun light. This technology is unique in the sense that it allows transparent, flexible, color-tunable and cheap solar cells, which makes it competitive to other types of solar cell

Photons are absorbed by a dye attached to a nano-crystalline TiO2 film. They are converted into electrical current by electron transfer from the dye to the titanium oxide (TiO2) film.

PEM-FC, innovative proton-conductive membrane and MEA

At present Fuel Cell systems, alternatives to petrol-engines, are rather complex and expensive. Several technical barriers exist in order to achieve a more stable and effective system. Our R&D activities focus on the core part of the next generation PEM Fuel Cell technology.

Research topics
• High temperature membrane technology
• Water-free proton conducting materials ...
